Why the McGill Rose Garden is perfect for photos

I’ve shot both an intimate wedding and a proposal at the McGill Rose Garden and here’s why I highly recommend getting your photos taken here!

First of all, it’s just so pretty. It’s not a huge garden, but big enough for a good variety of photos and such a cute pocket of nature inside the city!  

If you are having an intimate wedding, they have a secluded area in the back of the garden that is perfect for your ceremony! Even if there are other people in the garden, it feels very private in this area. There is a stone path in the middle and some twinkle lights in the trees behind you – which is the perfect backdrop ✨

There is a café/wine bar connected to the gardens, which is the best way to wrap up your session! The staff is amazing and always so kind. Plenty of seating for a small group and a variety of drink option for everyone. I even stayed to edit photos after one of my sessions!

One thing to note is the parking. Like most venues in the city, there is limited parking in their lot. So be aware, you might have to find street parking.
