The Oregon Coastal Session of My Dreams - Haystack Rock at Cannon Beach

My dream has come true ✨

I’ve been wanting to do a dreamy coastal like this for so long!

And now I can die happy.

Except that I need way more of this in my life 🤭

The story is short and very sweet: I booked a wedding in Portland (check it out here!!) and once the dates got closer, I realized I had a couple days of free time while I was there! So I reached out to my couple and asked if they knew anyone who wanted to do a free couples shoot on the coast!

Mackenzie responded almost immediately with the name and number of her cousin, Danika! Fun fact: I called her Danikas instead of Danika up until the day before the session 🤦🏼‍♀️ we had a good laugh about it the day of, but just goes to show how amazing these people were - so kind and understanding 😅

So anyways, the rest was history - Danika and Paul were simply amazing!! And Haystack Rock literally blew me away - I almost drove off the cliff when I first saw it 😂 It was way more incredible than all the Pinterest pictures could portray!!!

The whole weekend, Oregon had this smokey sky due to fires up in the Pacific Northwest. It wasn’t as bad on the coast, but as the sun fell over the ocean, there was this hazy filter that made for some really cool shots!

My boyfriend and I stayed for a little longer until it was almost completely dark, and then we got some delish pizza in Cannon Beach and headed home 🥲

I could probably write a whole blog just on the drive to and from Cannon Beach, but for now - I hope you enjoyed this recap ☺️
